Amar Das, Vice President – Real World Evidence, Guardant Health
Dr. Amar Das is Vice President of AI & Translational Medicine at Guardant Health. He has three decades of experience in advancing clinical research and precision medicine using data science and AI. Dr. Das leads the global mission, vision and strategy for translational data science at Guardant Health, transforming multi-modal data into expert insights for BioPharma, healthcare providers and patients. Dr. Das received his MD and PhD in Biomedical Informatics from Stanford University. Prior to Guardant Health, Dr. Das was a faculty member at Stanford University Medical School and at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Following his career in academia, he served as Director of Healthcare Effectiveness Research at IBM and Director of Real-World Data Analytics and Innovation at Merck Research Laboratories. Dr. Das has received multiple professional and research awards and is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics.
Jing Huang, Chief Data & AI Officer, CareDx, Inc.
Jing Huang received her B.A. in Statistics and Probability from Peking University and her Ph.D.in Statistics and M.S. in Epidemiology from Stanford University. She has been working in the biomedical field for over 20 years and her research interest focuses on statistical methodologies in clinical trial design, genomic analysis, and machine learning. She is currently the Chief Data & AI Officer at CareDx, Inc. (Nasdaq: CDNA)- The Transplant Company™. She is responsible for advancing CareDx’s efforts to integrate data science methods and AI into its customer facing products to enhance patient care, and its internal business operations to achieve improved efficiency and scalability. Jing has co-authored more than 30 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals with over ten thousand citations and is co-inventor of over 20 patent filings. Besides her daily work, she actively promotes data science through many of her volunteer activities: She is the founding president of DahShu, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission of promoting research and education in data science. She is currently the chapter representative of American Statistical Association San Francisco Bay Area Chapter (SFASA). In 2023, Jing was elected as lifetime Fellow of the American Statistical Association to recognize her outstanding contributions to the medical research community in the field of statistics; for numerous statistical innovations in genomic tests; and for exemplary leadership and community service to the profession.
Matt Lungren, Adjunct Professor Stanford and Clinical Associate Professor UCSF
Dr. Matt Lungren is an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University and a Clinical Associate Professor at UCSF. He previously served as the GM Technical Advisor at Microsoft where he focused on translating cutting-edge technology, including generative AI and cloud services, into innovative healthcare applications.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Dr. Lungren was a clinical interventional radiologist and research faculty at Stanford University Medical School where he led the Stanford Center for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Imaging (AIMI). He later served as Principal for Clinical AI/ML at Amazon Web Services in Worldwide Public Sector Healthcare, focusing on business development for clinical machine learning technologies in the public cloud.
Dr. Lungren’s scientific work has led to more than 200 publications and he has served as advisor for both early-stage startups and large fortune-500 companies on healthcare AI technology development and go-to-market strategy. Dr. Lungren’s work has been featured in national news outlets such as NPR, Vice News, Scientific American, and he regularly speaks at national and international scientific meetings on the topic of AI in healthcare.
Devi Ramanan, Managing Director, Accenture
My background is in Health Tech/Cloud with deep experience in Data Science/ML (Clover Health, Carbon Health, MiraiHealth.ai, Ayasdi – Stanford mathematics spinoff focusing on Health & Financial Services, Genentech), Health Economics Outcomes Research/Genomics (Invitae, PacBio, Genentech), Hardware (PacBio), Enterprise Software/SaaS (Ayasdi, Accenture) & Financial Services (UBS, Ayasdi) at both early-stage startups (Carbon Health, Ayasdi, Invitae, PacBio) and large companies (Accenture, Genentech, UBS). Was always on the Product/Growth side driving new innovative offerings and/or collaborations with customers – both B2B & B2C side. Finally, I am a technical, hands-on problem solver who ensures & empowers my teams/customers to succeed.
